Milpera Transitions Teacher

The role of the Milpera Transitions Teacher is to support the exit process as students transition to their new high school or TAFE.   

Milpera Transitions Teacher:

• Collaboration with Milpera DP, GO and staff, Metro EAL/D Team and destination schools and TAFE staff

• Development of Transition Profile for each student for new high school or TAFE

• Organisation of Destination Schools Lunch and Meeting prior to students exiting Milpera

• Assist with exit interview process, as required

• Support enrolment of exiting students at new high school

• support families to complete documents

• attend enrolment interviews with students as required

• follow up attendance at enrolment interviews

• Orientation and transition days – support student participation

TAFE:

• Visits to TAFE campus for overview

• visits to AMEP Youth Program classes at Southbank TAFE

• assistance with AMEP Registration Appointments
